Dominic Cucic

Senior Research Economist, Danmarks Nationalbank
I study how financial intermediaries shape monetary policy transmission and financial stability. My recent research focuses on nonbank lenders and the market for bank deposits, analyzing their roles in shaping credit provision and macroeconomic outcomes. My work on nonbank lending is forthcoming at The Review of Financial Studies.
My research combines large-scale administrative datasets with economic theory to understand the evolving landscape of financial intermediation and its implications for monetary policy effectiveness and financial stability.

Current Research Focus

Nonbank Lending: How alternative lenders affect monetary policy transmission and provide credit during financial stress
Deposit Markets: The role of deposit insurance, market discipline, and bail-ins in banking stability
